JAKARTA – Tahir Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four non-governmental organizations (NGOs) regarding law reform and development in Indonesia.
This MoU aims to provide financial assistance for research activities and awards to the four NGOs with a total assistance of around Rp. 2.6 billion. The four NGOs are the Yap Thiam Hien Foundation (YTH), Migrant Care, Djokosoetono Research Center, Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, and the Indonesia Legal Roundtable (ILR).
The signing of the MoU was carried out by the Chairman of the Tahir Foundation, Jonathan Tahir with the management of the four NGOs at the Banking Hall of Bank Mayapada, Mayapada Tower, Jakarta, Thursday (18/10/2012).
According to Jonathan, the provision of assistance is in accordance with the vision and mission mandated by the Tahir Foundation, which is to create added value and generate prosperity for many people. “This collaboration is a manifestation of the Tahir Foundation’s commitment to participate in improving the future of the Indonesian nation,” he explained.
