Tahir Foundation gave donation to the flood victims who suffered losses due to the harvesting failure in the area of Pantura. Donation was given to 3000 RTP flood victims in 5 regencies of West Java (Indramayu, Cirebon, Karawang, Subang, and Bekasi) with a total value Rp.3,000,000,000,-.
The donation was in the form of seeds of catfish, parrot fish/goldfish, milk fish and vannamei shrimp. Karawang regency received 700RTP, which were symbolically given by the Minister of Marine and Fishery Sharif C. Sutardjoto the Secretary of Karawang Regency, H. Teddy Rusfendi Sutisna the Fish Auction of Muara Batu village, Cilamaya Wetan sub-district on Wednesday 08 October 2014.
Dato’ Sri Prof. DR. Tahir, MBA, who is the founder of Tahir Foundation, hoped that the donation could revive the farming activities of catfish, parrot fish/goldfish, milk fish and vannamei shrimp in Pantura.
Minister of Marine and Fishery Sharif C. Sutardjo hailed the donation from Tahir Foundation. First harvest was to be expected at the end of December 2014.
